Sybermedica

Sybermedica is the UK healthcare informatics company which developed and hosts the PACSMail clinical information sharing service.
PACSMail has been widely adopted in sports and orthopaedic medicine, where it is used to enable rapid, secure on-line sharing of MRI and CT scans between club doctors, surgeons, physiotherapists and other consultant colleagues.

The service permits doctors to share patient cases electronically (including diagnostic quality medical images), allowing rapid access to expert opinion and eliminating, where appropriate, the need for patients to travel for a face-to-face assessment. Diagnosis can be made within minutes of the scan being taken, allowing immediate booking for in-patient treatment where required.  This improves both the speed and efficiency of healthcare delivery, especially when this involves the co-operation of multiple, geographically separated providers.

The company has its administrative offices on the St John's Innovations Centre in Cambridge UK, which forms part of the Cambridge Science Park.
